I started out as a children's illustrator and spent twenty years in children's fashion, but life had other plans...
It may sound obvious, but I owe this new working life to my children Davide and Chiara, and, why not, to a dream I had kept in a drawer.
I had always wanted to build something of my own, with complete creative freedom, without filters or the demands of the market.
I never had the chance, or perhaps I lacked the courage. In 2014 the right moment arrived, quite unexpectedly, and with it the spark that gave life to La Banda del Riccio.
La Banda del Riccio is a brand that puts you at ease, represented by a gentle little animal that stands for softness and protection.
The real driving force behind La Banda del Riccio is family, even though I am the one who draws and shapes every piece. My husband and my children are part of this project every day: with their support, their enthusiasm and their practical help, they have made the dream grow. That is why La Banda del Riccio is not only my work, it is a family project built with love.
Every time you choose one of my pieces, you are not simply buying a sticker or a print, you are buying a drawing made by hand with the intention of giving children an even lovelier place to dream in.
